Maha Ali is our alumna of the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program and the AFS program. She believes that her exchange year will always remain a great experience in her life. Maha returned to Pakistan this June (2022). Her fruitful exchange year gave her enjoyment, an amazing opportunity to learn about a new culture, and memories to cherish forever. “I learned that your positivity and flexibility lead to great success,” shared Maha.
Seeing and meeting people other than movies and having a great time in the U.S. made me think that the impact of movies is not always true. The people of the U.S. are amazing. “I felt like I made the great decision of saying yes to the yes program.”
According to Maha, the best part of her life was the volunteer work she did during her exchange program. She aims to continue the noble work of volunteering in Pakistan too. Her exchange program led her to be a great person. She became flexible in many things which paved her way toward a lot of opportunities. “ I just want to thank the U.S. govt for funding this great program and the ‘YES’ program for choosing me,” Maha Ali.
