PUAN Talks: Session on Empowering Women Through Film (In Conversation with Subjects and Co-Director of Freedom Fighters by Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy

Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) in collaboration with the U.S. Mission in Pakistan, alumni community and sectoral experts has initiated a virtual series of sessions titled ‘PUAN Talks’ by keeping in view the interests of wider audiences. Under its series of #PUANTalks, PUAN conducted a virtual session titled, “Empowering Women Through Film (In Conversation with Subjects and Co-Director of Freedom Fighters by Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy” on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 04:00 PM via Facebook live.

Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, winner of two Oscars and seven previous Emmys, said “Freedom Fighters” tells the stories of elite police officer Saima Sharif, former child bride Tabassum Adnan, and Syed Ghulam Fatima, an activist who took on the brick industry.
