Check out these snapshots from our Alumni Small Grant (ASG) grantee’s recent event, “Observing Environmental Health Day – A Healthy Environment for Today and Tomorrow” under “Climate Dialogue”.
Shahab along with a bunch a fellows celebrated Environmental Health Day and ignited a crucial conversation at Lincoln Corner IMSciences.
The rationale behind this activity was to nurture a dialogue about the well-being of both humanity and our precious environment.
Hosted by the wonderful Ms. Mahnoor, event was kicked off with opening remarks by Shahab as a dedicated Team Lead, shedding light on the looming crisis of Climate Change as an existential threat.
Esteemed guest speaker, Dr. Rafiq, an Environmental Economist and Coordinator of CWC, eloquently highlighted the profound connection between the environment’s health and the well-being of humans and all species. He also shared inspiring insights on how our youth can take action to make a difference.
Another remarkable guest speaker, Ms. Sarah Ehsan, provided a gendered perspective on the environmental health issues that women face and how we can empower them to combat these challenges.
After a lively Q & A session, we united and took a pledge to protect our environment. It’s high time for all of us to step up and safeguard our planet for ourselves and the generations to come.
Let’s stand together for a healthier and greener world!
