Her latest accolade, selection in the aspiring leaders cohort 2 of Michigan State University, USA, is a testament to her extraordinary contributions to academia.

Dr. Aneela Anwar, a prominent Fulbright alumnus, currently serves as an esteemed Professor in the Chemistry Department at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Lahore. Her remarkable journey to join the distinguished group of 100 women leaders has been a source of inspiration for many.

This achievement was celebrated at the recent Women Leadership Summit, where the focus was on reflecting the extensive leadership journey of women in higher education across Pakistan. Dr. Anwar’s success is enriched by two years of fellowship training offered by Michigan State University, in collaboration with the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Dr. Anwar’s commitment to empowering women in leadership roles is evident through her remarkable contributions. She not only chaired the International Women Leadership Conference but also earned the esteemed Women Leadership Award in 2023. Her active participation in the Women Leadership Program, organized by the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in collaboration with the British Council, further underscores her dedication.

In addition to her academic responsibilities, Dr. Anwar established a Women Leadership Forum and orchestrated a series of training sessions under these prestigious programs. Her role as a Council member for the Women in Science Foundation, Director of the HAWKS Youth Foundation, and her active membership in the Aspire group Pakistan showcase her unwavering commitment to empowering women leaders within the realm of higher education.
