With temperatures rising to the newest records of all time and increasing of sufferings of mother nature due to malpractices of us humans, taking of course corrective measures has become inevitable if we want this planet still inhabitable for our generations to come! The PUAN Sukkur Chapter, in collaboration with Lincoln Corner Khairpur, recently held a transformative event focused on “Clean Energy Transition and Sustainable Infrastructure” with similar thoughts in mind. This annual project, supported by the U.S. Mission in Pakistan, brought together a vibrant mix of 50 individuals, including alumni and community members from diverse fields such as environmental science, engineering, renewable energy, sustainability, and policy-making.
Led by the Vice President of PUAN Sukkur Chapter, the event was graced by guest trainer Engr. Abdul Shakoor Shaikh, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology & Skill Development (BBSUTSD). Engr. Shaikh, renowned for his expertise in Environmental Sciences, captivated the audience with an engaging session that combined informative insights with hands-on activities.
The seminar was not just about learning; it was about inspiring change and fostering innovation. Participants explored the critical importance of transitioning to clean energy and building sustainable infrastructure in Pakistan. The event was a melting pot of ideas, where minds met, collaborated, and envisioned a greener future together.
