PUAN South AJK Chapter Empowers Youths with Digital Skills Workshop!

Imagine a young student in Mirpur, South AJK region of Pakistan Kashmir, having all the potential and energies but lacking the right direction and tools to tap into the booming digital world. Considering that this has been a unfortunate reality for many of the youngsters of this region, the chapter leadership recently conducted a workshop on digital literacy and entrepreneurship. Recognizing the critical role digital skills play in today’s job market, the sessions aimed to bridge the gap for aspiring students and young professionals.

The workshop wasn’t just about acquiring knowledge – it was building the workforce for future. Participants, including 20 alumni and 25 enthusiastic non-alumni from Mirpur University of Science and Technology and NUML Mirpur campus, learned valuable tools and developed an entrepreneurial mindset. This newfound skillset empowers them to not only excel in their careers but also contribute to the economic growth and innovation of their communities.

The workshop was led by Fahad Raja, a local hero with a global impact. Fresh off receiving the prestigious Pride of Pakistan Award (March 23, 2024), Fahad brought his passion and expertise to the workshop. This Mirpur native isn’t just a successful entrepreneur leading Moboroid, a software house at the forefront of technology. He’s also the driving force behind the impactful Digital Kashmir Program. Fahad’s story resonated deeply with the young audiences as he was a shining example of someone who rose from their own community to achieve great things.
