What is the PUAN Grants Program?
The PUAN Grants Program is a competitive funding opportunity for alumni of U.S. Government-funded exchange programs. The goal is to empower alumni by funding initiatives that promote U.S.-Pakistan collaboration, professional growth, and community development.
For this grant cycle, applicants can apply for one of the following three categories:
Special Theme Grants
Proposals should address one of the following key themes:
- Entrepreneurship & U.S.-Pakistan Business Ties
- Principled Use of Emerging Technologies
- Combatting Censorship & Promoting Free Speech
Maximum budget: PKR 1,500,000
Open Theme Grants
Flexible funding for impactful ideas beyond the predefined themes.
Maximum budget: PKR 1,000,000
PUAN Connects: Chapter Alumni Engagement
Funding for chapter-based networking and thematic activities.
Maximum budget: PKR 250,000
Application Timeline
Applications Open: March 10 – March 27, 2025
Review & Award Process: April – May 2025
Project Execution Period: June 1 – November 30, 2025
Who Can Apply?
- PUAN-registered alumni of U.S. Government-funded exchange programs
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must submit a complete application package, including:
- Grant Application Form
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- 60-second video pitch of the project
