PUAN Sukkur Chapter alumnus Aakash Kumar (PhD Scholar, Texas A&M University) has been making remarkable contributions in research and education. Recently, he was honored with the Graduate Research Award 2024 for his outstanding work at Texas A&M University.

Since joining PUAN in 2018, Aakash has embraced opportunities to learn, grow, and give back. He belived that one of the most transformative moments for him was a PUAN-funded trip to Nepal in 2022, which broadened his global perspective and motivated him to work for educational development in Pakistan.

Following this experience, Aakash collaborated with the Regional English Language Office (RELO), U.S. Embassy Islamabad, first as an English Works instructor and later as a lead trainer, through which he trained teachers across Pakistan, including 50 teachers this past summer. His impactful work has also been featured on major media platforms such as PTV and Hum TV.
