PUAN alumnus Sheraz Shakar (English Access 2019–2021) recently completed a 3-month internship under the PUAN National Internship Program 2025, where he worked on a groundbreaking project in Virtual Reality-based Rehabilitation at PHYSIOHEALTH SMC Pvt. Ltd., based in the SCO Software Technology Park, Muzaffarabad, AJK.

Guided by his mentor Dr. Anum Rathore (AWE 2022 & Sister2Sister 2022 alumna), CEO of PhysioHealth, Sheraz gained hands-on experience in developing AI-powered healthcare solutions. His work involved building modules, running tests, optimizing AI features, and collaborating with both development and medical advisory teams. The internship provided him with an insider’s view of how cutting-edge technology is transforming healthcare.
Sheraz expressed heartfelt gratitude to PUAN, the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan for providing him this life-changing opportunity. He also acknowledged the support of Lincoln Corner Muzaffarabad and the SCO Software Technology Park for facilitating his journey.

This experience adds to Sheraz’s growing list of achievements. He proudly represented Pakistan by winning the World Startup Championship 2024, participating in the Wellness Week activity organized by the State Bank of Pakistan, and being selected for the League of Launchers Program and NIC Islamabad. He now looks forward to showcasing his ideas at Innovista through SCO.
Sheraz’s success is a living evidence of the power of U.S.-Pakistan exchange programs like English Access and PUAN’s National Internship Program, which empower young alumni to blend skills, innovation, and leadership for meaningful community impact.
