The Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN), U.S. Mission in Pakistan, and the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) convened senior alumni representatives for the inaugural PUAN Reconnect 2026 dialogue on Pakistan–U.S. collaboration in energy and critical minerals, a top priority for the U.S. government.

Acting Deputy Chief of Mission Andy Halus emphasized U.S. commitment to expanding American business opportunities in Pakistan’s energy and minerals sectors. Alumni experts from government, industry, and research identified concrete pathways forward: early-stage mineral exploration with U.S. junior mining companies, business-to-business partnerships, EV integration, AI-driven grid management, and regional power connectivity.
The message was clear: Pakistan’s mineral and energy potential is vast – unlocking it requires transparent policies, investor confidence, and sustained collaboration.
The session concluded with Iftar and networking, reflecting our commitment to partnership-driven solutions.
