Freedom 250 Speaker Series Highlights Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Cross-Cultural Business Success

On May 21, 2026, the Public Diplomacy Section Islamabad hosted a Freedom 250 Speaker Series event titled “Cultural Intelligence: The Essential Skill for U.S.–Pakistan Business Success,” bringing together business leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs to explore the role of cultural understanding in fostering successful international partnerships.

The discussion featured Dan Acker, Economic Officer at the U.S. Embassy Islamabad, alongside prominent Pakistani entrepreneurs Hamza Rahman, CEO of Hay Builders Pvt. Ltd. and Chohan Hay Real Estate Pvt. Ltd., and Director of Rehman Food Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., and Danish Aziz Awan, CEO of Placentek.

Drawing on their professional experiences, the speakers highlighted how cultural intelligence—the ability to understand and effectively navigate different cultural contexts—has become an essential skill in today’s interconnected global economy. They discussed how strong communication, mutual understanding, and adaptability contribute to successful entrepreneurship, strengthen commercial relationships, and support long-term collaboration between U.S. and Pakistani businesses.
