Academic Excellence: The Path to U.S. Exchange Opportunities

An impactful awareness seminar on U.S. exchange opportunities recently unfolded at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro. This enlightening event was a collaborative effort between the Pakistan-U.S Alumni Network (PUAN) Jamshoro Chapter, MUET Alumni Development Cell, and the Office of Advisor Students Affairs, and it was hosted at the prestigious USPCAS auditorium.

The seminar’s core mission was to equip students with insights into a multitude of scholarship avenues for academic exchanges in the United States. The spotlight was shone on prominent programs such as the Global UGRAD, Fulbright Scholarship, Humphrey Program, as well as other vital initiatives like the Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) and YES.

One of the standout features of the seminar was the diverse panel of speakers, which included alumni of the Global UGRAD and SUSI programs. Notably, Engineer Madiha Fatima Qureshi, who also serves as the Exchange Ambassador of PUAN Jamshoro Chapter, played a pivotal role in disseminating invaluable insights and information to the eager attendees.

The seminar offered in-depth knowledge about these scholarships, engaging interactive sessions with the attendees, networking opportunities with past scholarship recipients, and active participation from approximately 250 enthusiastic students. An overarching message throughout the event was the significance of academic excellence in securing these coveted scholarships.
