We are proud to share that Mehran Soomro, a Pakistani-American and former Executive Board Member of PUAN Jamshoro Chapter, has been appointed as Co-Vice Chair of the Legislative Focus Group under the Government Affairs Community of the Water Environment Federation (WEF), USA.

A chemical and environmental engineer, Mehran will now co-lead important legislative work at the national level in the United States, engaging with U.S. Senate and Congressional staff on critical water sector issues.

Born in Larkana and having lived in Hyderabad and Karachi, Mehran pursued his education in both Pakistan and the United States. In 2018, he was also recognized with a Cultural Diplomat Award during his studies at the University of Utah.
