Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network’s North Punjab Chapter, in collaboration with the Office of the Senior Tutor at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF), organized a seminar focusing on “Interfaith and Inter-Sectoral Harmony in the Higher Education Sectors.” Fulbrighter Dr. Muhammad Sohail Sajid, esteemed PUAN alumnus and Executive Board member of the chapter, played a pivotal role in orchestrating this event.
The seminar featured a panel discussion that covered a wide range of crucial topics, including class discrimination within higher education, concerns about forced conversions, the incorporation of religious literacy into curricula to foster tolerance and deeper understanding of diverse belief systems, the promotion of interfaith dialogue, the role of government in advancing interfaith and inter-sectoral harmony, and the pursuit of equality within the educational framework.
The seminar raised awareness of these pressing issues and encourage collaborative efforts to create a more inclusive and harmonious environment within higher education institutions. It is commendable that how this activity aimed at raising awareness, fostering dialogue, and encouraging collaborative efforts to create a more inclusive, harmonious, and equitable educational environment.
Such initiatives are crucial for nurturing future generations who can embrace diversity and work towards a more tolerant and harmonious society.
