Anum Kabir, an Alumna of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs and Sister2Sister Exchange program, recently organized an enlightening two-day Entrepreneurial training session- ‘Startup Sprint” as part of the chapter activities of Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network, North AJK Chapter.
This innovative program, was designed for 20 aspiring male and 20 female Entrepreneurs, providing them with a robust foundation to embark on their entrepreneurial journey.
The topics ranged from idea validation and market research to marketing strategies, financing, and perfecting the art of the elevator pitch. Participants had the privilege of collaborating in teams, engaging with fellow budding entrepreneurs, and receiving personalized guidance from seasoned mentors.
Throughout the rigorous program, participants were pushed to think creatively and collaboratively, addressing real-world business challenges with innovative solutions. The pinnacle of the event was the pitch competition, where participants had the opportunity to present their business concepts to a panel of esteemed judges, vying for prestigious recognition and prizes.
On the second day, the elevator pitch round added an exciting layer of competition to the program. Esteemed judges, including Kaneez Ayesha Abbasi, Vice President of Pakistan US Alumni Network North AJK Chapter, Salahuddin Shah, CEO of Moon Creations, and Ume Aiman, Manager of the Incubation Center, lent their expertise to evaluate the pitches. Distinguished guests, Dr. Khawaja Muhammad Naeem, President of Pakistan US Alumni Network North AJK, and Mr. Tariq Shafi, a Senior Alumni, graced the occasion, distributing well-deserved prizes to the winners and participants.
Startup Sprint emerged as a transformative experience, arming participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to kickstart their entrepreneurial ventures. Anum Kabir’s dedication to fostering the entrepreneurial spirit has undoubtedly paved the way for a promising future for these emerging entrepreneurs of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
