The fourth day of the PUAN Masterclass at NIC Karachi delivered powerful lessons on resilience, innovation, and the lived realities of entrepreneurship. From honest reflections to cutting-edge tech discussions, the day offered participants both inspiration and practical tools to navigate their entrepreneurial journeys.
The morning opened with a candid Fireside Chat: “Successful Startup vs. Failed Startup – From Glory to Grit”, moderated by Salik Khan, Growth Strategist and Business Mentor. The conversation featured raw, real-world insights from leading voices in Pakistan’s startup ecosystem: Ahmed Ayub, Co-founder of Airlift Technologies; Sukaina Abbas, startup mentor and ecosystem enabler; and Nauman Sikandar Mirza, tech founder and business leader. Together, they shared unfiltered stories about scaling companies, weathering setbacks, and rebuilding with renewed purpose.
Following the fireside chat, participants engaged in one-to-one mentoring sessions with the panelists. These personalized consultations gave PUAN alumni the chance to discuss their own startup challenges and receive tailored advice on staying resilient and focused amid uncertainty.
In the afternoon, alumni took part in a fast-paced and energizing Innovation Sprint, gaining exposure to essential skills across three high-impact domains:
- Cybersecurity 101 for Businesses, led by Azam Mughal, CEO of SecureBeans
- Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Growth, with Rakhsha Zulfikar, AI Consultant and Educator
- Effective Digital Marketing, led by Alice Peter, Digital Marketing Specialist
Each expert offered actionable insights, frameworks, and tools to help participants future-proof their ventures in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The day concluded with a networking dinner, creating space for alumni to connect with high-level professionals and decision-makers. Distinguished guests included Mr. Scott Urbom, U.S. Consul General in Karachi; Mr. Michael Chadwick, Public Affairs Officer; Mr. Kevin Furey, Economic Unit Chief; and Mr. Faisal Jamil from LMK Group. Executives from American Business Council member companies and C-level representatives from LU, UPS, and PriceOye were also in attendance offering PUAN alumni invaluable opportunities for collaboration and professional growth.
Day 4 was a deep dive into the highs and lows of entrepreneurship, framed by real stories, expert knowledge, and meaningful networking that will continue to shape the journey of PUAN alumni long after the Masterclass ends.
