As another two weeks have passed ever since our last edition of our fortnightly newsletter, we’re thrilled to share the latest updates from the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network! From making waves at Nepal for EIMUN to cleaning beach of Gwadar, from initiation and completion of our Masterclass on ‘Proposal Writing, Project Management, and Monitoring and Evaluation’ to celebrating the impact of our Alumni Small Grants (ASG) , our alumni are continuing to connect, collaborate, and create positive change. Five-Day Master Class on Master Class on Proposal Writing, Project Management and Monitoring & Evaluation Concludes

The Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network’s five day Masterclass on Proposal Writing, Project Management, and Monitoring and Evaluation, kicked off on Monday, June 24, 2024 has successfully concluded. The Masterclass was rolled out in collaboration with Center for Business and Society-LUMS, Lahore. C.G. Hawkins from U.S. Consulate General Lahore graced the opening day as guest of honor. The masterclass featured a diverse group of PUAN alumni from diverse backgrounds. It was a five-day comprehensive training featuring interactive lectures by sectoral experts followed an interactive mode of learning with case studies centered around various sub-themes, group discussions and presentations.

PUAN Quetta Chapter Reunion: A Night of Connections & Inspirations

Around 120+ alumni of various USG funded exchanges from diverse fields recently gathered for annual networking & celebrations at Quetta. Guest of honor, Provincial Minister Ms. Raheela Durrani, emphasized the importance of building bridges & shared her U.S. visit experiences. The evening of connections and celebrations concluded with a grand musical showcase by talented local artists. Find more about the meet-up here.

PUAN Alumni Make Waves at Nepal, MUN

Our 8 competitive alumni are currently participating in Everest International Model United Nations organized by U.S. Embassy, Nepal. Here are some shots from the Global Village evening in which our members tried depicting some hues and shades of traditional Pakistani attires. Wish them luck! Go team Pakistan.


A Clean Beach, A Brighter Future: Shazia Akhtar’s Mission

Shazia Akhtar, an alumna of the Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Program and an active member of the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) Gwadar Chapter, recently led a transformative beach cleanup drive at Gwadar to raise climate change awareness. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the children of Gwadar and several notable figures, including Additional Deputy Commissioner General Tabish.

Small Steps, Big Impact!

Every little action counts when it comes to protecting our planet. The Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network’s climate experts mentored students and discussed simple ways to make a difference. Let’s reduce, reuse, and recycle to make a better future for us all!

Herbs and Hope: Fulbrighter Empowers Faisalabad’s Women with Green Skills

Fulbright scholar Farhana Nosheen from GC University Faisalabad has transformed lives with her ASG project, training 300 women in sustainable herb gardening.
