PUANforPakistan: Webinar on The Psychological Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic

The U.S. Mission in Pakistan in collaboration with the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) has launched a virtual series of discussions on topics and themes catering to the needs and interests of more than 32,000 alumni across Pakistan.

Under its series of #PUANforPakistan, PUAN conducted a webinar titled, “The Psychological Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic” on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 04:00 PM via Facebook live.

Panelists for the session included:
● Dr. Anila Amber Malik, IVLP alumna, Professor, Former Chairperson, Department of Psychology, University of Karachi
● Rabia Fayyaz, IVLP alumna, Lecturer/Clinical Psychologist, Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Peshawar
● Mary Pervaiz, Clinical Psychologist, Global U-Grad alumna, Lahore

The session was moderated by:
● Areeba Tayyab, English Works Teachers Training and Cultural Exchange Program alumna. Educationist, Author and Columnist, Lahore.

Overall, the female psychology experts guided the viewers on cope the isolation and lockdown period and shed light on the importance of mindfulness and mental health. Towards the end of the session, the panelists responded to the queries of viewers.
