Quetta Chapter Successfully Organizes Workshop ‘Digital Skills for STEM’

Coronavirus pandemic profoundly disrupted the livelihoods of people. No one was prepared to leapfrog into a remote learning and working situation. Building expertise in digital literacy will help you develop resilience to those challenges so you can continue your journey to grow, survive and succeed in life. With this rationale in mind, PUAN’s Quetta Chapter organized a one-day workshop under PUAN’s Country Project ‘Digital Skills for STEM’ under PAUN chapter activity grants. The workshop theme was ‘Converting Challenges into Opportunities during and post COVID-19. 40 alumni from different exchange programs participated in this workshop and contributed through their knowledge and expertise. Furthermore, the workshop concluded with the fact that Digital skills, as well as soft skills, showcased rapid innovation, adaptability, resilience, creativity, and problem-solving skills that had to be acquired almost instantaneously in order to be able to suddenly navigate life in a Covid-19 digital economy!

In the workshop, professionals gave lectures to create awareness about the importance of online learning and earning platforms. Participants were briefed about Global Online Courses (GOC), Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), American OPEN live webinar series, and MOOC camps. A lecture about the benefits of STEM learning and how it fuels success across a variety of tasks and disciplines was also part of the workshop.
