Two-Day Conference on “Combating Trafficking and Bonded Labor of Pakistani Women and Girls” Concludes

Two-day conference on ‘Combating Trafficking and Bonded Labor of Pakistani Women and Girls’ held on January 27-28, 2024 concludes at Islamabad. Funded by the U.S. Mission to Pakistan and organized in collaboration with the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) & Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO), the conference highlighted various forms of human trafficking, its widespread impacts on Pakistan, and ways to address the issues involved. Around 120 PUAN members representing various walks of life participated in the conference.

U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome while inaugurating the conference said, ‘Human trafficking is an appalling and pervasive crime.  It deprives millions worldwide of their dignity and freedom.  It is a global crisis that touches every country, including Pakistan and the United States.’ (Read More).
