PUAN Hosts First-Ever National Grants Seminar Showcasing Alumni-Led Community Impact Across Pakistan

PUAN recently conducted its first-ever National Grants Seminar, bringing together 11 alumni grantees from across Pakistan to showcase exchange-driven projects creating real community impact.

Hosted in collaboration with the U.S. Mission in Pakistan, the seminar featured 10-minute project presentations evaluated by a panel of judges. Opening remarks by Peter Moran, Executive Director of the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan, and Marta Aparicio, Public Diplomacy Officer & Alumni Programs Manager at the U.S. Embassy Pakistan highlighted how alumni turn global exposure into ethical, inclusive, and sustainable local action.

The seminar concluded with recognition of outstanding alumni projects. Hammad Anwar received the Most Innovative Grant award for his creative approach to ethical tech education, while Jamaima Afridi secured Second Position for her impactful advocacy on women’s inheritance rights. Muhammad Nadeem earned Third Position for his sustainable, youth-focused education initiative. Grant Completion Certificates were also awarded to alumni for successfully delivering their projects.

The seminar concluded with closing remarks by Alexandra Fleury, SCA Regional Alumni Coordinator, who applauded alumni for transforming exchange experiences into meaningful, community-led impact.
