Empowering Educators in Turbat: ASG’s Journey of Leadership Excellence

We are thrilled to spotlight Ms. Shazia Akthar Baloch, a shining example of the impact of educational exchange programs. Ms. Baloch, a TEA-Evolution alumna from the Teaching Excellence & Achievement Program 2017 cohort hailing from Gwadar, is leading a transformative initiative supported by the U.S. Mission in Pakistan in collaboration with the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) under the Alumni Small Grant (ASG).

Cultivating Leadership Excellence – A Carpe Vitam Workshop Series for Rural Turbat Remote School Teachers is not just a project; it’s a beacon of hope for educators in remote areas. Designed to uplift and inspire teachers in Turbat, this comprehensive workshop series focuses on leadership development, community engagement, and elevating teaching standards.

In these underserved communities, where professional development opportunities are scarce, Ms. Baloch’s initiative is a lifeline. By providing workshops, community services, and resources, the project aims to revolutionize teaching methods and foster a supportive learning environment.

The heart of the initiative lies in its commitment to empowering educators, engaging communities, and enhancing educational outcomes in rural Turbat. With a team of three TEA alumni and guest speakers onboard, the project is set to make a lasting impact.
