Faiz Rasool, a Pakistan–U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) alumnus, exemplifies how U.S. exchange experiences can shape visionary leadership, drive innovation, and create lasting professional and community impact across borders.

Hailing from a remote village in District Lodhran, Faiz’s journey reflects resilience, ambition, and the transformative power of opportunity. His participation in the Community Colleges for International Development (CCID) Program (2010–2011), where he studied Business Administration with distinction, marked a defining turning point. Through academic training, cultural exchange, and global leadership development, he gained exposure to advanced business practices, experiential learning, and diverse professional networks that reshaped his outlook on leadership and growth.
Today, with over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, Faiz is a seasoned marketing and sales leader. His career spans prominent organizations including Merck, Martin Dow Marker Ltd., and CCL Pharma. Currently based in Canada, he leads Marketing and Sales Operations at My Mellow Inc., where he drives innovation in business strategy, strengthens market positioning, and contributes to sustainable organizational growth.
Faiz credits his U.S. exchange experience as a catalyst for his professional evolution. Exposure to the U.S. business and regulatory environment, innovation-driven thinking, and leadership development frameworks enabled him to lead complex, results-oriented organizations with confidence. Upon returning to Pakistan, he applied these insights in senior leadership roles, contributing to business expansion, brand leadership, and improved organizational performance. His selection for the Merck Advanced Managerial Foundation Program in Singapore (2013) further reflects his leadership potential and global outlook.
Beyond corporate success, Faiz has made significant contributions to workforce development. Over the years, he has trained and mentored hundreds of marketing and sales professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, ethical leadership, and professional excellence. His contributions have been recognized through multiple honors, including the Merck Global SHINE Award, the Iron Leader Award, and repeated recognition as a leading brand management professional.
Faiz’s commitment to impact extends beyond the corporate sector. As a former Vice President and Executive Board Member of the PUAN Karachi Chapter, he has actively contributed to strengthening alumni engagement and fostering U.S.–Pakistan collaboration. He has also actively participated in the PUAN National Internship Program, helping equip emerging professionals with practical skills, global perspectives, and leadership values.
As the United States marks 250 years of global engagement, Faiz Rasool’s journey highlights the transformative power of international exchange in shaping leaders who drive innovation and build bridges across countries. He encourages young Pakistanis to actively pursue U.S. exchange opportunities and engage with international networks, emphasizing that such experiences not only expand professional horizons but also empower individuals to contribute meaningfully to their communities and strengthen global partnerships.
