USEFP’s Ground Breaking Ceremony

USEFP was established in 1950 to promote mutual understanding between the people of Pakistan and the people of the United States through educational and cultural exchange programs. A testament to our long-standing relations through education is the Fulbright Program for Pakistani students, the largest in terms of U.S. Government financial contribution. Earlier this year, USEFP held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new headquarters in Islamabad, which was attended by the ChargĆ© d’affaires of the U.S. Embassy, Angela P. Aggeler, Additional Foreign Secretary for Americas Syed Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, USEFP Board members, guests, and alumni. As a symbol of binational cooperation, USEFP was allotted a plot in Islamabad’s H-8 education sector by the Government of Pakistan to build its first-ever headquarters. The U.S. Government is contributing to the cost of the facility.
