Nazeer Ahmed, an alumnus of the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network and recipient of its Alumni Small Grant (ASG), is leading an innovative project in Killahabdulla, Balochistan, aimed at uplifting communities and promoting gender equality. Supported by the U.S. Mission in Pakistan in partnership with the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network, the initiative, titled “Promoting Diversity: Enhancing Access to Education and Workplace Opportunities for Young Women in Conflict-Affected Balochistan” is set to equip female school teachers and adult women with essential skills through a transformative 05-DAY TRAINING workshop.
Recently, a 25-hour training workshop was held at Killahabdullah Baloshistan, attended by 50 participants from the local community. The workshop adopted a unique approach, harnessing the power of the WTWE curriculum. This curriculum integrates English language learning with vital life skills training, offering a comprehensive and enriching learning experience.
Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in dynamic activities, improving their communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills. However, the significance of the workshop go beyond skill-building; it aims to empower women to confidently express themselves and advocate for their needs. This newfound empowerment positions them as leaders within their families and bridges within their communities.
The workshop aims to equip women with the necessary tools to shape their families’ and communities’ social and economic well-being. By merging language skills with life skills training, the WTWE curriculum empowers women to become catalysts for positive change, not only in Killahabdulla but also beyond its borders.
