TESOL Alumna Empowers Educators: ASG Reshaping Lives

Meet Saira Bibi, an enthusiastic educator based in Quetta, Pakistan. Armed with a Master’s in Education and Computer Science, Saira is deeply committed to fostering a culture of learning among young minds. Her journey took a significant turn when she successfully implemented her Alumni Small Grant (ASG). Saira is our TEA-Evolution alumna from 2019 batch.

Project Overview

Saira’s ASG project aimed to empower female English teachers in Quetta through a 4-week TESOL Methodology training program. With 30 direct beneficiaries and over 2550 indirect beneficiaries, predominantly female, the project sought to revolutionize language pedagogy in the region. Leveraging the expertise of PUAN alumni, the curriculum covered modern teaching methods, active learning, and integrated language skills.

Rationale Behind the Project

Saira recognized the pressing need to revamp English language teaching methods in Quetta. By offering premium training free of charge, she aimed to empower teachers and enhance students’ learning experiences. The project’s focus on TESOL methodologies addressed critical gaps in education, ensuring lasting impact in the local educational landscape.

Significant Outcomes

The project’s impact was profound. It empowered female English teachers, elevating their teaching practices and confidence. The cascading effect of knowledge dissemination ensured lasting benefits, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within educational institutions.
